Due to the restrictions currently in place because of COVID-19, we ask that you follow the guidance below:
New curlers will have a volunteer club member show them the fundamentals to sliding a stone and sweeping. This gives the individual the foundation to build their curling skills and more importantly get accustomed to the ice and ready to play a match your next time out.
Who: Anyone wanting to curl is welcome. Curlers are typically 8-80+ years, both men and women. Most try as individuals, but you can bring along your friends, family, or coworkers to join you!
When: At time posted
Where: Line Creek Community Center 5940 NW Waukomis Drive, Kansas City, MO 64151
What to Bring: Wear a clean pair of soft rubber soled shoes that have good grip on a smooth surface, layered loose fitted clothes that will keep you warm at 45 degrees. We have a limited supply of helmets, so you are welcome to bring your own if you want additional safety while on the ice rink.
Individual Cost: $30 per individual or a group up to 8 individuals can rent a sheet for $180.
Sheet Rental: If you want the entire sheet for your group, you will want to register and pay for 8 spots. Otherwise we will let others fill spots that are left available. If 8 spots are not available then you will either share the remaining spots or the sheet will not be available.
Cancellation: We reserve the right to cancel any Learn-to-Curl and refunds will be issued. If the participants cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, refunds will not be given.
