Learn to Curl Instructor Training

We will teach you how to be an instructor and then have a free open play afterwards. 

Who:  Anyone wanting is a member of KC Curling Club

When:   At time posted

Where:   2525A Northwest South Outer Rd Blue Springs, MO 64015 (bottom level)

What to Bring:   Bring a clean pair of shoes to change into that have good grip on a smooth surface, layered loose fitted clothes that will keep you warm at 45 degrees.  We have a limited supply of helmets, so you are welcome to bring your own if you want additional safety while on the ice rink.  

Individual Cost:  free

Cancellation:   We reserve the right to cancel any Learn-to-Curl and refunds will be issued.  If the participants cancel with less than 48 hours’ notice, refunds will not be given.

Beginners Play & Learn to Curls:  Click calendar dates above   (No events on holidays and during bonspiels)

  • Typically 1 hr  - Friday 7:00pm-7:15pm. Prebeginners play Learn to Curl / Practice*
  • Typically 1.5 hr - Friday 8:15pm-10:00pm. Beginners Play / Practice*
  • Typically 1.75 hr - Saturday 1:15pm-3:00pm Learn to Curl / Practice*
  • Typically 1 hr  - Sunday 12:30pm-1:30pm. Prebeginner play Learn to Curl / Practice*
  • Typically 1.5 hr - Sunday 1:45pm-3:30pm. Beginners Play / Practice*
  • Typically Monday 10:00am-12:00pm. Open Play

* Practice is only available if their is an unused sheet.

 

Season has Three 9-week Leagues:  Sept 28th, 2025-May 2nd, 2026 (Minus Holidays and Bonspiels)

Fall League 9/28-12/6, 2025; Winter League 12/7-2/21, 2026; Spring League 2/22-5/2, 2026

  • BBQ Bonspiel (Open) -  Oct 9th-12th, 2025
  • Mixed Doubles (Men/Women) - Nov 7th-9th, 2025
  • 5 and Under Bonspiel (Open) - Jan 16th-18th, 2026
  • KC Open - April 10th-12th, 2026
