Corporate/Group Rentals

Rent the entire hockey rink (5 sheet of curling ice for 20-50 people) anytime ice is available or saturday night. We also offer small group rentals (1 sheet of curling ice for 6-10 people) on Sunday morning.

What:

Program format is up to you and your group.
Rent the ice for one hour to learn the fundamentals.
Rent for two hours to add some game experience.
You could even start your own weekly league or curling camp.

Who:

Corporations, Organizations, Churches, Charities, Schools, Occupational Leagues, Clubs, or whoever wants to curl

When:

Anytime, ice is available and we can find volunteers to help, We have posted time online we know is available and we have volunteers ready to help

From April till September: Ice time is a little more available.
From October till March: Ice time has proven more difficult to find but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Line Creek Community Center, 5940 NW Waukomis Drive, Kansas City, MO 64151
Special requests for alternative rinks will be considered.

Limits:

We can demonstrate the fundamentals for up to 40-50 individuals.
40 people can play traditional curling matches at one time (4 per team; 2 teams per sheet; 5 sheets of ice; 4x2x5=40).
Optimally, we aim to have 1 volunteer Club Member for every 5-10 new curlers when demonstrating the fundamentals.

Cost:

Ice and equipment fee. $350 per hour ($275 per hour if not-for-profit)
KC Curling Club Members are happy to volunteer their time to demonstrate the techniques of curling, so any contributions to the Club on their behalf are greatly appreciated if you are able. This simply helps our not-for- profit.

All you need to play

rubber-soled shoes to grip the ice, clean of debris
layered loose fitted clothes to keep you warm at roughly 45 degrees
bike or skate helmet optional. *We have limited helmets for your use if you want the additional safety

Curling is.....

easy to learn, but difficult to master!
is more physically demanding than it looks, but is attainable by all who are moderately fit
requires no special equipment to get started
can be played by people aged 10-80+, male or female

Open to all

Unless stated, all of our programs are open to all, regardless of experience.
You can sign up individually, with friends, or create your own team of 4 with our without subs.
